Fun-Filled Faces only uses hypo-allergenic, antibacterial, water-based face paints. They are non-toxic and fully compliant with EU and FDA toy and cosmetics regulations. Brands we use include Tag, DFX, Grimas & Snazaroo.
Fun-Filled Faces use safe cosmetic grade body glue & glitters which are suitable for face and body painting. Arts and Crafts glitter is not suitable for face painting due to potential to cause damage to the eye surface. We only purchase our products from reputable suppliers to ensure that their safety is not compromised.
Fun-Filled Faces advocate a ‘Sponge per Face’ system, which ensures each child is being painted with a fresh sponge as opposed to a ‘Sponge per Colour’ system (whereby one sponge is allocated for each colour and used throughout the day). The ‘Sponge per Colour’ system is proven to cause cross contamination of bacteria, by using a ‘Sponge per Face’ system, we intend to minimize the potential to pass on any skin infections, common colds or diseases that could potentially be undetected in a child that we paint.
Fun-filled Faces clean brushes frequently inbetween clients. We regularly dispose our used paint water and refill our pots with clean fresh water. We always use a 3 water tube system to ensure our brushes are kept as clean as practically possible whilst in service.
For hygiene purposes Fun-Filled Faces only uses one temporary glitter tattoo stencil per client.
Please ensure your child's face is clean before being seated to be painted
Fun-Filled Faces cannot paint any person that has or shows signs of illness. This includes, but is not limited to Chicken Pox, Mumps, Measles, Conjunctivitis, Cold sores, Viruses and infection (particularly of the skin).

Fun-Filled Faces reserves the right to refuse face painting &/or glitter tattoos to any person that shows signs of illness. For people with Eczema, Psoriasis, Dry skin & other common skin conditions we will patch test paints on the arm to be safe. For private parties, we ask that you make your guests Parents aware that they will be offered Face Painting, and just let us know if there are any we shouldn't paint!
Please be aware that Fun-Filled Faces require the person we face paint to give consent, for younger children, a smile and an obvious willingness to sit to be painted will be accepted as consent. We will definitely not paint babies, sleeping children, or children who appear to be unwilling, or distressed. For people with severe disabilities, will we work together with carers to come to a decision that best suits the individual.
Fun-Filled Faces may ask for consent to use your child's image and first name on our website or for advertising purposes, we will not proceed with this unless you have given consent, and will not be offended if you choose to decline!
Please remember to give the face painter plenty of room, however feel free to take pictures and remember to email them to Fun-Filled Faces or tag Fun-Filled Faces on facebook.
Disclosure and Barring Service Checks
Professional Face Painters are not eligible for Police checks from the Disclosure and Barring Service (Formerly known as the Criminal Records Bureau), who advise this is because we should not be painting children without an adult present. They state that Professional Face Painters do not fall within the ‘eligible positions’ required to carry out these checks, which are now known as Disclosure and Barring Service checks.
For more information we have been advised that this link will explain it further: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/dbs-check-eligible-positions-guidance
We are fully insured and hold Public Liability Insurance to the value of £3 million.
Risks Assessments and product safety sheets are available upon request. During all of our events, risks are assessed and minimised accordingly.
To remove face paint and body paint from the skin we recommend that you use mild soap and water. We do not advise you to use baby wipes (or similar) to remove face and body paints as they may react with paint products and cause a skin reaction in a small % of people.
To remove Glitter Tattoo's, Body Glue Adhesive & Inkatoo's we recommend using Surgical Spirit or Baby oil.
Face paint and body paint may stain clothing due to the high pigment colour content of the paints. If you do get face or body paint on clothing or material we advise you to wash in COLD water rather then hot as the high temperature may set the pigment within the fabric. We advise you to keep face paint and body paint away from all material.
Our standard rate starts from £30 per hour. Please get in contact with Fun-Filled Faces for a quotation. Please provide as much information as possible including date, time and duration of event, location, type of event and number of guests. We will endeavour to get back to you as soon as possible, however please bear in mind that we may already be out painting at another event so will not always be available to respond straight away.
